A year ago I started with this blog in order to make sense of local and world events as they interact with each other and directly impact the quality of our lives, our pocketbooks, personal freedoms and the environment. wishing you lots of luck, good health and prosperity in 2018. In Hebrew the number 18 portrayed in letters of the Hebrew alphabet means life, (chai) and so I hope that 2018 will bring a renewed and a better life to all residents of our island. May the woes of the past instill in all the desire for improvements and generate better endeavors to confront the future in a more positive manner.
